Farm Terms

Extracts glossary term candidates from the contents of your topic files and creates a new .flglo glossary file in your Project/Glossaries folder — a fast starting point when your project has no glossary yet.

To farm glossary terms

1. Click Farm Terms. The Term Farmer window appears with a list of term candidates extracted from your topics.
2. Edit the list of terms, and optionally add explanations.
3. Click Create Glossary to create a new .flglo file and add it to your project.

Tips

• Treat the candidate list as raw material: delete the noise, keep the genuine terms, and fill in definitions afterwards in Flare's glossary editor.
• To maintain the definitions in Excel together with subject-matter experts, combine this with Import and Export Glossary.
